Anna Abernethy, DDS

Portrait of Dr. Anna Abernethy Dr. Abernethy is a native of Concord NC, but has lived in Raleigh for the past 15 years. She came to Raleigh to attend college and graduated from Meredith College Magna Cum Laude in 2001 with a BS in biology and a minor in chemical physics. After completing college, Dr Abernethy attended and graduated from UNC Dental School in 2005. While at UNC, she was the co-leader of Give Kids a Smile Day, coordinator of the UNC Head Start Program, and the team captain of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.

She is affiliated with the American Dental Association, American Association of Women Dentists, Academy of General Dentistry, American Association Cosmetic Dentistry, Internation Congress of Oral Implantologists, Spear Faculty Club, Seattle Study Club and the Raleigh-Wake County Dental Society.

She is happily married to Jason Douglas of Raleigh, who is currently a realtor with Remax. Together, they enjoy spending time with their son, Parker Scott Douglas, who was born last spring.
