Anita Jones Wells, DDS

Dr. Wells is a North Carolina native who grew up in the Pinehurst area. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry with high honors. Her childhood passion was to become a dentist. Her dream came true when she attended UNC Dental School and graduated in 2002 with honors.
Dr. Wells is passionate about furthering her education and enjoys being actively involved in local, state, and regional societies. She maintains membership with the American Dental Association, American Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Society of Anesthesiology, and American Association of Women Dentists. She is a member of the North Carolina Dental Society , Past Vice President of the Durham Orange County Dental Society, and an active member of the Raleigh-Wake County Dental Society as well as the Seattle Study Club.
Dr. Wells has had the privilege of achieving a Fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and has consistently been voted one of “America’s Top Dentists” since 2007. She also spends time in several civic and social organizations such as the and Psi Omega National Dental Fraternity, the National Association of Professional Women and is especially passionate about being on the Board of The Helene Foundation, a non-profit organization to help mothers fighting cancer. In addition, Dr. Wells had the honor of being asked to join the faculty of the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. She genuinely enjoys her part-time position in the Prosthetic Department helping the dentists of tomorrow further their education. She travels to Arizona to participate in the Frank Spear Faculty Club teaching colleagues in Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr. Wells is happily married to Dr. Andrew Wells, of Wells Orthodontics in Raleigh. They are blessed with two beautiful sons, Ashton and Arison.
